Sitting snugly in the forested area, this homestay is an observer’s haven. The marsh tall trees stand firm on the ground allowing the bright sunlight to fall directly onto your face as you step out of the cottage.

The small cottage is welcoming enough for one to find solace while staying here.The place is run with the help of a few local women and sometimes men.


‘The hosts prepare a variety of dishes including the local food; Puttu which is Kerala’s emblematic breakfast essential and when coupled with Kadala curry is transformed to the most nutritious combinations one can eat. It is prepared by pounding rice into flour in the old fashioned manner, finding the right balance between rice flour and water and steaming it slowly in a mould.

Chicken curry, Fish curry, Gobi curry, Rice, Chapati, Daal, Sambar. Both Non Veg and Vegetarian food is available according to what the guests would like to eat.


The host makes sure that you get the definitive farm experience during your stay, Walk towards the land that has been taken care of for long and learn about farming and the essentials of production. The hosts have been growing their own food instead of running to the stores to buy supplies, in this way you get to truly learn the concept of self reliance and sustainability.

Suzzane came to India from Germany 30 years back and fell in love with India. She and her husband always wanted to live close to nature in the luxuries of space, air, time and freedom.

Her husband runs a local bakery in a small town, both of them own this beautiful 12 acre land sprawling with vegetation and plantations that are lovingly nurtured, true believer of spiritual well being.

Suzzane makes sure she starts her day with meditation and takes a great interest in inter-cultural studies too, coming from a different cultural background did not stop her from blending in with the south Indian culture and she even speaks fluent Malayalam.
